Arizona Arts Academy
The Brief
Create an illustrated poster to celebrate the Arizona Art’s Academy showcase event. The design must be flexible to allow elements to be used for program cover art, a t-shirt, and a banner for the website. The annual theme for the showcase was IMAGINARIUM with a prompt of “let your imagination run wild as you choose your own adventure through the different worlds created by our performing artists. You may journey into a three ring circus, slide back in time and leap into the future, explore the metaverse, explore the depths of the ocean, play in the 2 dimensional world, and experience new horizons.”
My Approach
I presented concept sketches using the school’s mascot of a pigeon as a central figure for the different compositions. ASA’s director and their marketing team selected their favorite design and then I formalized the final artwork in a layered vector file, so elements from the design could be isolated and used as part of a design suite for the event.
